HOW I WORK
THERAPY TAILORED TO EACH INDIVIDUAL CLIENT
Each client is unique, as is their inner world and language, and my aim is to stand by them during their personal journey, continually experiencing and then examining the process together. As your therapist I will be ready to go wherever you need to go, so we can develop a deeper sense of trust and safety, that will in itself become the agent of change.
I aim to establish a dynamic and ever-evolving relationship with the client, based on genuineness, positive regard and spontaneity.
My theoretical approach is Integrative, drawing on the Psycho-dynamic, Humanistic and Existential schools within a relational working model which emphasises the Humanistic philosophy and embraces Person-Centred core process.
After many years working in the Mental Health sector for the NHS in non-clinical roles, I decided to retrain as a counsellor, having both observed and experienced first hand the transformative power of talking therapy.
I am a fully qualified Psychotherapist and a registered member of the BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists). My background is in the arts and I have experience in art and music therapy. I have studied meditation and eastern philosophy extensively and sometimes integrate breathing and mindfulness techniques into the therapeutic process. I grew up in Florence, Italy, and am completely bilingual.
